Your Are Special
2 Kings 5:1-15a and Mark 1:40-45

Note: The sermon for February 16 was one of those that can't be fully reproduced online. The readings from the Old Testament and the Gospel each presented stories of persons being healed of leprosy. I spoke of how lepers were outcasts in society and how further, Naaman of the reading from 2 Kings was the leader of the army opposed to Israel. Yet, for God, there are no outcasts. No one is beyond God's love.

The bulk of the sermon was then a reading of Max Lucado's children's book, You Are Special. For copyright reasons, I can not place an audio version online, however, the story (without its beautiful illustrations) is found online at: http://www.lollie.com/thinkagain.html I think the overall effect is one difficult to capture on the web.
