I Hope We All Are Ready
Matthew 24:37-44

Sermons are events which go beyond the written text. The sermon itself is like a piece of sheet music. The sermon given is never exactly the one written. Sometimes the changes are small, but significant.

This week's sermon worked from a song at the start of the service (Larry Norman's "I Wish We'd All Been Ready" sung by DC Talk). The sermon then began with a video clip from the movie Left Behind and later used a second clip from the same movie. A preaching event like this is not readily translatable to word and the printed page alone.

While I frequently have sermons like this, that do not go on the web page, I thought it was worth noting here why it is that every week's sermon does not end up on the web. It is not laziness on the part of a pastor who doesn't want to write a text, but due to some Sunday's messages not being able to be conveyed on the web.

peace,

Frank +
