Kids in the Kingdom
One Sunday a month, King of Peace has Kids in the Kingdom Sunday.
Three- to eleven-year olds are invited to remain after the worship service for a
meal, songs, a Bible story, and craft or some other related activity. We usually
cover Bible stories which are among the greatest hits so to speak. Past stories
have included the creation, Noah's Ark, Joshua and the Battle of Jericho, and
Jonah and the whale from the Old Testament. New Testament stories have included
Jesus' birth, the Good Samaritan, Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, and the
resurrection. Parents may stay around for the fun, or drop back in at 12:30 p.m.
to pick up their child(ren). Each summer, we also hold a Kids in the Kingdom
Week, getting together five weekdays in a row from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for a whole
week of fun.
Below are pictures from different Kids in the Kingdom Sundays,
showing some of the fun things we have done together over the past three years.
