Welcome to the Service Entrance of King of Peace This
is the portion of our website where we share resources with other churches and where we
solicit support for King of Peace. King of Peace Episcopal Church is the newest mission in
the Diocese of Georgia. Our primary mission is to reach out to the unchurched people of
the Kings Bay area of Camden County and offer a means of establishing a relationship with
God through the communal life and worship of our church.

Gifts to King of Peace
We started June 1, 2000 with just the three people. On November 1, 2000, we closed on
a 7-acre parcel of land which includes 3-bedroom house, which is home to King of
Peace's activities until we can build a second building on the lot. Photos of the house and land are online.
We had many immediate physical needs as we took over the house. The following list shows
the support we have received from persons and churches in our new mission:
- Chairs
Grace Episcopal Church in Waycross, Georgia purchased 12 chairs for King of Peace.
The Rev. Church of the Holy Comforter in the Augusta area purchased 5 chairs. Christ
Church, Frederica purchased 30 chairs. The Rev. Marcus Robertson of Christ Church,
Savannah donated $100 to our chair fund, buying more than two chairs. The Tour of Homes
fund of Christ Church, Savannah donated $1,000 to our chair fund,, buying more than 25
chairs. The Rev. Hugh Bromiley of St. Thomas, Isle of Hope donated $390 to our chair fund,
purchasing 10 chairs. Frank, Victoria and Griffin Logue purchased 3
chairs. St. Paul the Apostle Church in Savannah purchased three chairs.
- The Rev. James N. and Mrs. Leslie Parker of Savannah
purchased four tables for King of Peace.
- A new refrigerator and dishwasher were purchased by an
anonymous donor.
- A donation from St. Peter's Church on Skidaway Island
purchased a $2,500 keyboard and amplifier.
- The large play equipment was purchased by the Church of the
Holy Comforter, which is a recent church start in the Augusta area, having begun services
in Christmas of 1999.
St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Douglas, Georgia purchased the swingset.
- Mr. Wendell Lynch, the Rev. Kit Carlson, and Andrew and Katie
Carlson-Lynch purchased the altar cloth.
- Jim Proctor of Woodbine, Georgia is purchasing a thurible and
boat for King of Peace.
- Lt. Col. Christopher T. and The Rev. Jeunée Cunningham and
Family purchased a Gospel book as well as the cribs, changing table, infant swings and
other nursery needs.
- A digital camera was purchased by the Woods Family of
Atlanta.
