Join the Communications Ministries of King of Peace Episcopal Church

Communication ministries include all activities related to communications among parish members and publicity about church events and parish life. In the Book of Common Prayer, a question is asked and answered: “Who are the ministers of the church? The ministers of the church are lay persons, bishops, priests, and deacons.” Each of us is a minister of the church. King of Peace offers a variety of opportunities to serve within the church. These dedicated groups welcome additional helping hands, minds, and hearts in these services.  Vestry Liaisons are Barbara Mathis and JoAnn White.

Diocese of Georgia Website A website for the Diocese of Georgia is available at http://georgia.anglican.org/ to provide news, information, and resources from the Diocese serving central and south Georgia parishes. Also available from the Diocese is a weekly update, “From the Field,” which helps keep all churches in the Diocese aware of events and resources to share. Congregants may log onto the Diocese website to subscribe to an email edition of “From the Field.” News to be submitted to the Diocese weekly newsletter can be sent to Senior Warden Robert”Robin” Davenport-Ray.

King of Peace Event Publicity Any news or publicity for local media can be directed to Senior Warden Robert”Robin” Davenport-Ray for inclusion in the Camden and/or Glynn County newspapers.

King of Peace Website A website for King of Peace Episcopal Church is maintained by Sandi Croy. That website is located at http://kingofpeace.org/ The site contains current and archived information about the church, ongoing activities, contact persons, and church resources.

KOP News and Reminders A weekly email newsletter for King of Peace parishioners is available. It provides current news about worship services, upcoming special events, and general parish news reminders. If you are not receiving the weekly email, please contact Senior Warden Robert”Robin” Davenport-Ray. To submit news for a newsletter, send to newsletter@kop.org.

News From the Pews A regular newsletter is distributed monthly at KOP and is also mailed to those unable to pick up their news at the church. To submit news, send it to newsletter@kop.org.

Parish Archivist The King of Peace Parish Archivist maintains scrapbooks of articles, programs, and pictures covering church special activities and events. Leave materials at the parish office to include in the scrapbook history of our church. The Parish Archivist is Janet Finkelstein.

Video Announcements A video of current announcements streams in the Narthex and in the church on Sundays. Those announcements identify upcoming events and activities of interest to congregants and visitors.
